Our environment

Suonenjoki is the famous strawberry town in Savonia. The vibrancy and vitality of the town stems from people’s cheerfulness, hard work and closeness to nature. There are about 6 700 of us Suonenjoki residents. We warmly welcome new residents to our community. The excellent location, beautiful and safe environment and good services attract especially families with children. Suonenjoki has about 4 000 homes, of which about 3 000 are in urban areas and about 1 000 in rural areas. We have about 1 100 summer cottages and more than 1 100 km of shoreline.
